Ms. Ofelia Miyazaki, better known as "Bia", started out with her very own homemade Philippine food such as bagoong isda, alamang, longganisa and tocino in October 1989. Through the years, she has gained many loyal patrons not only among the Filipinos who miss home-style cooking but also among the Japanese who have found Filipino cuisine suited to their palates. Because of this success, she later on expanded her food business in February 2002 to establish Bia's Homemade Philippine Food, Rstaurant and Izakaya. An expert in her field and a consistent delegate/representative of the Philippines to various events in Australia, she has become a role model to many Filipinos in Japan.
